Aaron Greer, assistant professor in UA's Department of Telecommunication and Film will present three of his films:
A Night in the Theater (23 mins.)

Synopsis: "A Night in the Theater" investigates the power of live performance by exploring the experience of theater from the perspective of both the actors and the audience.
Flying Away: Profile of an Artist (27 mins.)
Cornelius Carter (director of UA Dance program and professor of dance), choreographer; A. Greer, producer/director
Synopsis: "Flying Away" is an inspiring portrait of an artist deeply affected by his Southern roots, seeking to express himself through his chosen medium: dance.
Through interviews, rehearsal footage and beautifully filmed performances, the documentary celebrates the work of nationally celebrated teacher and choreographer Cornelius Carter.
Ballet Noir: the Tango (14 mins.)
Rita Snyder (associate professor of theatre and dance), producer/choreographer; A. Greer, director
Synopsis: When Detective Mac McKnight agrees to help the mysterious Rosa de la Noche he gets more than he bargained for in this beautiful homage to Film Noir and the sultry tango of Buenos Aires.
The filmmakers will be available for a question and answer session following the screening. Light refreshments will follow; cash bar. The screening is free.
