Creative Campus Initiative has partnered with
The Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama, the cities of Tuscaloosa and Northport, Tuscaloosa County Commission, the Arts Council of Tuscaloosa County, and others in the program:

 

Launched in July 2007, the program expects to achieve the following objectives:

* To connect, engage and foster the creative community concept.

* To identify and build on the rich, diverse cultural resources of Tuscaloosa County.

* To expand cultural, entertainment, educational and recreational assets and amenities with the goal of creating a ‘cultural destination’ center in Alabama.


* To encourage and stimulate a comprehensive, integrated cultural development initiative that fosters cooperative and collaborative efforts among the public, private, educational and non-profit sectors of the metro Tuscaloosa community.

* To assess, identify and foster cultural programming that meets the needs of a diverse population and expands access and opportunities for all citizens and visitors to the area.

* To identify, leverage and integrate cultural resources that will directly enhance the economic competitiveness and livability of the community, resulting in the aggressive recruitment of financial and human capital.
