The Rude Mechanicals, Tuscaloosa’s free Shakespeare in the park theatre company (made up of UA faculty, staff, current and former students, alumni, and Tuscaloosa townspeople) is presenting its third annual anthology, “Shake-Scenes 3: Songs, Sonnets, and Scenes from Shakespeare” Thursday-Saturday, Aug. 14-16 at the lower level River Road Park East from 7:30-9 p.m. There will be scenes from “Midsummer Night’s Dream,” “Hamlet,” “Measure for Measure,” “Henry VI,” and “Pericles,” among others. There is no admission fee. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets and bug spray. Please do not bring glass bottles. |
