Creative Education

Creative Campus strives to promote, educate, and network all relevant creative bodies in both the community and on campus.

In the Creative Education department the goals are very similar to those of the organization as a whole; however, our focus is on the nurturing of creativity, whether it be in a classroom or a city council meeting.

The idea that a very linear system of education now replaces the creative, synthetic teaching process is a crippling blow to the future of our communities. To receive data, anlayze the information, and formulate new and inventive ways to approach the solution is vital to success in any field. When working with education departments one may find that there are very few systems in place for this type of learning. At Creative Campus we try to breathe life into these and other various activities in hopes of sparking the desire and ablities that all of us hold for the arts and creative thinking.

We plan to help solidify the pre-existing body of arts groups as well as educate those who have yet to discover their creative sides. Through programs like Dance Education in the Tuscaloosa City Schools and the Kentuck for Kids festival, we are trying to incorporate and educate everyone on the beauty of and necessity for the arts. Promotion and support of creative attitudes in all aspects of life will help breed a better and brighter future for us all.
