Student Organization

Why should YOU be involved?
If you believe that the University of Alabama could use a little more culture and creativity, this organization is for you. You do not have to be the next Van Gogh or Beethoven to participate. If you can sing in the shower or just enjoy the arts, we want you! Creative Campus is the first (and only) student-led arts initiative in the nation. Be part of a team that creates THE blueprint for such involvement on campuses nationwide.

What would you get to do?
Join one or more of our committees listed below and you will be fully involved in the process of planning and executing Creative Campus projects and events!

Critic's Pick If you are a writer and enjoy attending performances, then this is the committee for you! You will be reviewing opening night performances of music, dance, and theatre productions and your review will be published online for all to see! You will get free tickets to opening night venues as well as get to nominate and choose the winners for our 3rd Annual AL's Awards Gala.

Special Events In this committee, you will have a chance to be fully involved in the planning and executing of Creative Campus events such as the AL's, Earthfest, Fountain Music, Gallery Openings and more! You may be doing anything from sending out invitations, soliciting donors, or even helping decorate for the event!

Community Service This committee will help with events and projects to better the campus and community. You will be involved in our Ten Hoor Project, Culture Builds, Earthfest, and many more!

Historian/Archival If you love photography or scrapbooking, this one is for you! This committee will not only help us capture photos at our various events and projects but it will also work on compiling articles and photos into our Creative Campus scrapbook to go on display in Maxwell Hall.

Join us on Facebook to stay up to date on meetings, events & projects.

Publicity For all of you that major in Advertising/Public Relations, or those of you who enjoy designing publicity materials you'll want to join this committee. You will be working with our group of interns and graduate assistants on a branding campaign for Creative Campus as well as publicity for our events and projects.

We ask that each of our members participate in at least 15 hours over the entire year. Dues are $10 (cash or check) and can be brought to one of the meetings or to Maxwell Hall during regular business hours. Dues will be used to cover meeting expenses (such as food).
